Hamburg Games Conference - Bucerius Law School

THE GAMING LOCATION HAMBURG IS BOOMING
The Hamburg Games Conference is an interdisciplinary conference of the computer game industry. Featuring different topics each year, the conference focuses on various facets of the computer game segment and highlights potential forms of cooperation with other segments of the media and entertainment industry. This year’s topics are “Gaming Trends in 2011” and “A New Business: Risks and Opportunities of Free2Play Games and Virtual Goods.”

Gaming Trends in 2011
Well-known speakers will shed light on and examine the future viability of current trends in the computer game industry. What will be the effects of new Web technologies known under the name “HTML5″? Who will win the race for the core target group of the gaming community: browser-based games or client-based games? With more than 945 million users of social networks such as Facebook, LinkedIn, MySpace, the VZ networks, etc., worldwide, the market for social games is growing, and thus also the market for occasional gamers: what are the social gaming trends?
